The CCH-Olympic Games

Updated: Jul 12, 2022

This summer, our children’s residential center is hosting the CCH-Olympic games. Filled with tough competition and a whole lot of silly, our four cottages are giving their best to bring home the gold – the golden scooter that is – the grand prize for the number one team.

At the opening ceremonies, cottages presented their unique team flag designed to reflect their team spirit. Staff judges voted to determine a winner for best flag. Residents and staff came together to play gaga ball and 9 squared in the air. They celebrated the day with delicious soda floats provided by The Oak Cupboard in Smithville and donuts from Lerch's Donuts in Wooster.

The CCH-Olympics continues throughout the summer. There have been messy games like turning your peers into human sundaes as well as strategy games of building boats secure enough to float and race a staff member.

Update: Our most recent Olympic event included artistic expression. Each cottage turned their driveway into a canvas. Residents and staff drew their answer to the question: What does CCHO mean to you? They put together thoughtful and large-scale masterpieces.

Enjoy event photos below of the fun created during the CCH-Olympics.
