It was a cool summer day to welcome the Mid Ohio Corvette Club (MOCC) and Buckeye Corvette Club to CCHO for the 13th Annual Cruisin’ for the Kids event. Corvettes caravanned from Mission Thrift (Portage Road location) to our residential campus for a day of fun-filled activities. This year was the largest event to date with more than 130 cars filling the lawn to the excitement of our youth. It was an incredible display of vehicles as well as a true expression of kindness for our residents.
Kids, staff and Corvette Club members enjoyed a delicious lunch and fun tunes followed by a car show with the children voting for their favorite cars. MOCC also hosted a basket raffle with proceeds to benefit the kids receiving trauma services at CCHO. In keeping with tradition, club members delighted our youth with safe and exhilarating racetrack rides around the campus circle. Squealing tires, revving engines, and thrills of a lifetime! A UPS truck attempted to join the races, but quickly realized he was out beat. The crowd graciously cheered him on his way.
Thank you, Mid Ohio Corvette Club and Buckeye Corvette Club, for your compassion for hurting kids. Through giving your time and sharing your resources, you are bringing joy to these young lives. You are showing them their true worth. Thank you so much!
