The end of summer was marked with a very special outing for CCHO residents. The kids and staff loaded into vehicles excited for outdoor fun and adventure at Hidden Valley Cabin in Wooster, Ohio. The festivities included fishing, swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and crafting. Everyone enjoyed taking a creek walk looking for special treasures and skipping rocks.
Spending the day together gives our kids and staff the opportunity to simply play–a trauma-effective tool for connecting and building trust with youth from hard places. The kids also try new experiences and practice new skills. It’s a day for growing confidence and making memories. Many thanks to Hidden Valley Cabin owners Jenny and Jeff Myers for opening up their beautiful property for this annual tradition.
Enjoy the photos of their amazing day at the cabin.
