We are pleased to share that CCHO and our family of ministries has received the designation of Best Christian Workplace for the fifth year in a row! We desire to see each employee succeed and for our culture to help each team member experience their worth in Christ. It’s an honor to celebrate this special recognition.
In an email to staff, Kevin Hewitt, president and CEO, said: “It is hard to describe the courage, the collaboration, the consistency, the compassion, love and grace exhibited by you and your fellow workers during this extraordinarily different year. No matter what obstacle appeared, you overcame with understanding, empathy and perseverance.”
After two years of increased employee engagement survey scores, CCHO grew from a rating of “healthy” to “flourishing” workplace environment based on criteria from the Best Christian Workplace Insitute. Themes of flexibility, being supported and appreciated, encouraging team of professional teammates, and Christian values in the workplace all contributed to this high rating. The CCHO leadership team will unpack the anonymous survey results to better understand any staff challenges and create plans to address them.
Like all organizations, we have been faced with unique challenges during the pandemic. CCHO has demonstrated increased support and appreciation for employees’ efforts during the past year. Kevin shared more about what thriving in challenging times looks like on The Flourishing Culture podcast.
CCHO and our family of ministries is a staff of more than 200 individuals serving in four ministry areas: children’s residential center, foster care, outpatient mental health and administration. Our purpose of helping people experience their worth in Christ is at the forefront of all we do. If your passion aligns with our purpose, we invite you to explore career opportunities with us.
