Today we’re celebrating the kindness and generosity of First Christian Church in Canton. At their annual women’s ministry retreat this past weekend, the ladies chose to provide for the physical and emotional needs of CCHO youth as their event mission. What a shower of blessing through tangible gifts to help the kids feel more at home during their treatment.
CCHO Advancement Coordinator Jenny Myers had the pleasure of attending the event in Sugarcreek. She enjoyed interacting with the guests and sharing about kids’ needs. She was in awe of the outpouring of love. “Their generosity and thoughtfulness was overwhelming,” Jenny said. “It brought tears to my eyes.”
Retreat participants donated fleece blankets, personal items, children’s activities, art supplies, snacks and more to stuff drawstring backpacks for each child on our campus. They also wrote personal notes of encouragement for the kids. So much love created and given in one weekend!
Thank you so much, First Christian Church, for helping hurting kids experience their worth in Christ.
